International Students' Orientation (ISO)



International Students’ Orientation (ISO) is an annual event organized by International Students’ Club (ISC) under supervision from Office for International Students (OIS). This event is conducted by way of introducing NYP, delivery of speeches and presentations as well as organizing activities for NYP freshies, mainly international students. Through this orientation, the new members will get to know more about NYP, OIS and ISC.
This was held on the 14th April 2011 at LTQ-7.

FUN TIME MACHINE (updated)



Wondering what is the title about? It's a telematch within NYP! This telematch is mainly to bond all the nationalities and every club together.

Event : Fun Time Machine (telematch competition)

Date : 21st July 2010 (Wednesday)

Registration time : 2.30pm - 3.20pm

Event time: 3.30pm - 7pm

Venue : NYP Sports Hall

How does it work?

First of all, form a team of 6 representing your CCA or academic club, each team must ne mix gender.You can bring a substitution before the event start if 1 of your teammates does not show up; if not, your group will be disqualified.

Please wear sports attire to this event and bring admin card upon registration. If you are late after registration close, penalty will be given – deduction in event points/marks.

CCA points will not be given to all participants but the winning teams stand to WIN ATTRACTIVE PRIZES. There will also be a bonus prize for 5 lucky winners (individual) in the bonus stage too. The prize given are as follow:

1st prize: $300 cash voucher
2nd prize: $150 cash voucher
3rd prize: $100 cash voucher
Consolation prize: $80 woth of hamper
Individual bonus prize x5

Please send representative team to support this event (1club max. send in 3 teams). No participation fees!!

Bonding Camp-->Amazing midnight camp




Bonding camp that organised by junior exco is just around the corner!! The information is shown as the poster above. And the camp is free!!

The objective of this camp is to:-
- Create a better bonding between members and committees of ISC.
- Welcome and create unity among the ISC members.
- Build up ISC’s hyper active spirit.
- Encourage members to step out of their comfort zone.
- Build up self-confidence of new members.
- Provide leadership training for the new members.

Lunch Time Concert!!

Looking for small groups of mobile performances / individual talents and basking around campus during Lunchtime!

The theme for this lunchtime concert is in celebration with the "Singapore Youth Olympic Games" where the torch flame will be coming to NYP on 7 August!!! Thus performances are encouraged to be choreographed in relation to the theme "Friendship, Excellence & Respect".

The Singapore Challenge

The Office for International Students (OIS) and the Singapore International Foundation (SIF) will be organising a race called "The Singapore Challenge" for all current NYP students. There will be lots of challenges, fun and FOOD!

Following are the details:-
Date: 17/7/2010 (Sat)
Time: 8.30 am to 6.30 pm
Flag off venue: Singapore Post Centre (Next to Paya Lebar MRT)
Attire: Sport wear

* All participants will be given a CEPAS EZ-Link card for the race.

Interested?!Form a team of 8 and participate in this exciting and challenging event. The winning teams stand to win attractive prizes too! There must be 3 different nationalities in each group and one of the nationality must be Singaporean.

*Each team must bring along only 1 fully charged digital camera with USB cable and students card for the race.

Attractice prizes are:-
Champion: $600
1st runner up: $240
2nd runner up: $160

All participants will receive a goodie bag each! Besides,all participants are invited to an after race buffet dinner!

You can register your team at www.sif.com.sg or you can obtain hard copies of the application forms at Student Service Centre (SSC) at Block A, Level 2.

Registration closes on Friday 9 July 2010, 5.00pm.

ISC Leadership Training Camp!!

Hi all! So~~ Surely you have been wondering what is the upcoming event of ISC. Here the answer is, next up, we having Leadership training Camp – DYNAMIX Camp! The objective of this camp is to:

- Determine strategies to improve the adaption of organizational changes
- Learn how to identify and communicate more effectively
- Identify to build relationships more successfully
- Recognize the importance of personal values to leadership success
- Learn to create more accountability amongst their teams and delegate more effectively.

Does it attract you?? Hesitate no more, so ISC members!! Come and join us!! And we will train our potential leader for the next batch of committees in this DYNAMIX Camp.

Upcoming events!!

Hello member! I feel happy and glad to meet u all during the bktg open house. I think ISC committee and members had a great time there. Members who can’t join us during the open house, it’s alright. We had our next event, which will be very fun, gigantic and mystery!! Want to know more? Come and join our welcome party.

The party will not be very grand and formal. Out main objective of organizing this party for members is to bond every member and committee. Let’s join and be the part of this big family and have fun together.
